When Sewing Garments…
- Transfer sewing pattern marks to the fabric with a piece of soap or chalk. Both will wash off with a little water and won’t leave marks on your finished project.
- It’s easier to cut out pattern pieces when the pattern is already pinned to the fabric. But separate the pattern pieces from one another by cutting roughly around the edges first. Pin, and then cut on the line.
- You can use plain white paper to make patterns for small pieces. Especially if you need to make two of the same thing
Wig Tips
- when shopping for a wig, look for Kanekalonor Toyokalon. The former is better.
- use real hair conditioner on a wet wig to make it smoother and easier to detangle
- never brush a wig while it is wet
- wear a wig cap under your wig, and use U shaped hair pins to secure the wig to your head
- most foam wig heads are smaller than real heads. Also, the size of adult heads vary greatly with height and gender. Keep this in mind when styling (Don’t cut bangs or the nape too short by accident)

Did you look at my post on sewing with lycra? https://shaunartcosplay.wordpress.com/2010/08/10/adventures-in-a-catsuit-sewing-with-lycra/ This may help you out some. If you have any specific questions, I’d be happy to help but I don’t think I can write a whole tutorial on a power ranger suit without actually making one, and I don’t have the time right now, sorry.
Hey, nice tipps. I begin to cosplay and so its very useful ♥
