Debuted Halloween 2009
I started this costume over the summer and worked for about a month on it. This is one of my best costumes in terms of construction and durability. I used a slightly shiny costume satin and a cotton polyester blend for the top, skirt and hat. The brim of the hat is craft foam and the buttons are made of metallic sculpy III, sprayed with a glossy finish. I made my eyebrows green for this costume with some simple Halloween makeup. (white first, then a coat of green)
Growlithe and I won First place in the University of Hartford’s Spectrum Halloween couples costume contest, and First & Second place in the UHA Science Fiction Society’s Halloween Costume Contest.
I wore this costume again to Connecticon 2010, and was interviewed in it by Nerd Calibur (more on that to come soon).
This costume was great fun to wear and very easy to store ❤ I love the primary colors and the exaggerated gestures you can pull of in a costume from Pokemon. It was a really good time and a good costume for a party.

[…] Officer Jenny (Pokemon) January 2010 5 […]
Hi do you think that you can send me the patteren for this costume!!!
Sorry, I made the pattern myself. It’s not really something that I can send. 😦
Best. Cosplay. Ever.
hi I’m making an officer jenny costume for an upcoming comicon and i’m having trouble with the shirt-i don’t even know where to start! did you make the whole top in the darker blue then sew the light blue overtop?
The light blue is sewn over the dark blue, but I “made” both parts at the same time, rather than one before the other so everything would match up at the shoulder seams. The big secret to the shirt is that there is a zipper up the side under one arm.
Whoooaaa!! Its so good X3
